I was beginning to wonder if this would ever arrive, given how slow the post is right now and the updates on the tracking slip were non-existant, but it was delivered today, so now I can share with you all what I made.
This is the junk journal I made for
tjs_whatnot. I had intended to do a little video of it, but my camera broke, and when I tried with my phone, it fell out of the tripod and a few pixels cracked, so I decided that I'd not try again. Instead I took a ton of photos--not of every page, but enough to give you all an idea.
I tried to incorporate as many of
tjs_whatnot's interests as I could into this junk journal. I hope she likes it. All pictures are beneath the cut, click the thumbnails to embiggen.

Cover; detail of the tag hanging off the spine which is leather and reads, "The world is calling me and I must go."; a wooden cooking spoon with a quote from Mary Poppins, "A spoon full of sugar." (The spoon also made a good weight to hold the pages down while I took the photos!)

The last picture here has a pocket which has some vintage baking recipes. They are from "The Kookaburra Cookery Book" written by Lady Victoria Buxton, wife of the Governor of South Australia (1895 β 1899). First edition was 1911, this is the second edition from 1913. The recipes do bake up really well and are tasty.

There's lots of space to write in, tags and additional notepaper too. The 3rd and 2nd to last photos in this section are of a vintage fold out travel brochure for Spain, written in French, from the 1960s, and I thought it was a lovely little thing.
So that's it! I hope you all enjoyed it, and I really hope that
tjs_whatnot liked it.

I remember seeing what you created last year and imaging I'd be terrified to actually use one of my own, but the minute a opened it up (even before that at the leather tag on the outside), I knew EXACTLY how I would use this book. As a travelog! And now I REALLY MUST GO!!!
