Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms):
Fannish: Person of Interest is my main fandom, but I'm perennially fannish about Doctor Who (fave Doctors are Seven, Ten and Thirteen), Star Trek (of the Next Gen and Discovery and Picard variety), Warehouse 13 (and HG in particular), Sanctuary (and Amanda Tapping in particular)
I love mythologies from all over, I love sci-fi and fantasy and especially urban fantasy.
Aesthetically, I like bright colours but also worn edges, I like ornate and baroque embellishment but with patina and time. I love gold and silver and shimmer. I love that feel that something has been dredged up from the bottom of the ocean, and it still retains some of the glamour of its previous life.
I'm okay with wool/acrylic/cotton/silk, actually most fibres. I don't like chenille or bamboo blends.
I have cats who love jingly or rollable toys.
I've got pierced ears. I need a longer chain than most for necklaces, and I like big, chunky pendants. I like brooches and pins. I don't wear rings or bangles. I love scarves of all kinds.
I love handmade books and journals, I love paper and anything to do with papercrafts. I love boxes and things to put things in. (As a junk journaller, I'm always looking for things to put ephemera and paper scraps into.)
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: My partner is very sensitive to fragrance, so I'd prefer a low-fragrance gift if possible. The smell of glue and paint and so on are fine. Perfume is not so fine.
Australian customs is strict on plant/animal material, so stuff like dried flowers, tea, seeds, homemade food will be confiscated. There's a searchable list here: Prohibited goods. Our postage is still really slow after the COVID congestion of 2020.
What country do you live in? Australia
Are you willing to ship internationally? Yes
What kind of crafter are you?/What are you willing to gift? I crochet, I make junk journals and all sorts of papercraft things, like artist's trading cards and mini-books and greeting cards. I'm experimenting with paper beads right now.
Are you willing to pinch hit if necessary? Please ask! I can't promise (essential healthcare worker, may be sent into overdrive without notice) but I'd like to try if I can.
What about if shipping is paid for? I can look after shipping, I'm happy to help someone else out with shipping if needed.
