But first, a little explanation on what we need in the sign ups and why. First and foremost, the sign ups are mostly for us to find the best matches we can with what people want to receive and want to offer. Please be as specific as you can in your request. Gifters, if you need more info, please come to us (homemade2homemademod@gmail.com) and we’ll be your go between.
Name: We don’t need your real name right now. We'll ask for that when we get your address for your crafter.
Email: PLEASE make sure it’s one that you check regularly. There are a few times throughout the fest that we will need to get a hold of you via email.
Things you geek about: We need to know what fandoms, hobbies and interests make you happy. Please be specific as you can, from favorite color, favorite character, favorite song, etc etc...You don’t want a Gryffindor scarf if you’re in Slytherin now do you? Or let's say you put that one of your interests is horses, but you are terrified of unicorns, you wouldn’t want any of those showing up on an embroidered thing, would you? Also, if you don’t want fandom related things, or only want fandom related things, let us know that too. Same goes for interests and hobbies.
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: Allergies--we need to know all the things you can’t have from food allergies to scents and fibers. Postal restrictions--are there things your country won’t let be sent through the mail? Sometimes this differs if the packages are sent internationally or within the same country. Simple Do Not Wants--This is the place to put things you just don’t like, crafts you really don’t want to receive. Not into baked goods? Don’t want to receive the same type of craft that you make? This is the place to tell us.
What kind of crafter are you? What are you willing to gift? Are you a potter or a woodworker? A knitter or a candymaker? Do you dabble in a bunch of things? Are the things connected by medium? If so, are there things you DON’T do? Do you not want to do fandom specific things? Only want to do fandom specific things?
What country do you live in? and Are you willing to ship internationally? These two go together. If you live outside the USA, and can't ship internationally for whatever reason, we might still be able to match you. There were at least two participants from every country represented last year. Get in touch with the mods to talk more. This year, we need everyone to track their parcels, thanks!

Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): Superheroes in general, but particularly the MCU (although I pretend that most of the main storyline ended with The Winter Soldier). Hawkeye, Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman (the movie). Jellyfish, squid, octopodes, tentacular creatures of all sorts including Lovecraftian ones. Space. Snakes. Dinosaurs. I prefer darker shades and jewel tones, particularly purples, greens, teals, and blues. I like metallics.
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: I'd rather not get any representational art of people. No strong smells or artificial scents. I'm not big on hot glue or plastic. Nothing knitted or crocheted. If it's jewelry, it should be something designed to fidget with or be chewed on. Not big on pink, orange, yellow, or pastels as main colors although they're fine as accents. Nothing edible. No holiday themes. I prefer things that have some sort of function to things that are purely decorative. I would LOVE something quilted.

Cross stitch, crochet, collage, needle felting, sketches, possibly simple paintings although digital art is more of a strong suit and I'm not sure that digital gifts suit the nature of this exchange (I'd be open to that as well if it does suit, however)
Are you willing to pinch hit if necessary? Maybe. I'd have some concerns about both finances and time that I'd have to try and adjust for.
What about if shipping is paid for? That would eliminate one barrier, so it'd make negotiations easier.

Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): Fandom stuff I like includes the MCU, specifically Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Black Panther; Stargate: Atlantis; the Witcher; Leverage; Mad Max: Fury Road; Fullmetal Alchemist (the 2009 anime); I'm also a sucker for post-apocalypse stories of all kinds. I love rainbow/spectrum anything -- my sewing room is quietly becoming a pride flag. :D
Non-Fandom stuff includes vintage sewing machines, knitting, crocheting, quilting.
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: I'm kind of picky about scented things like candles and lotions, so I would say no to any of those. I don't have any food or pet allergies, though, so food is OK (and I do like chocolate!). I am not necessarily looking for a fannish gift. I do have a dog and two cats in my house, and we are a smoke-free home.

Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): Me? My biggest fannish obsession recently has been for Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. My favorite characters are The Raven King, Childermass and Viculus and I'm totally Here For all things involving Faerie and/or any of the Aurate Magicians. I'm also a huge Tolkien nerd, especially over the Silmarillion and the First Age. Definately a Feanorian Fangirl over here and a lover of all things Noldor in general, though outside of that I also really love Haleth and the Haladin, and the Ainur. Also Tinfang. Tinfang is awesome and deserves more love. Aside from those two, my other fandoms include Sandman, Labyrinth, and Athuriana (especially involving Percival or the Orkney brothers)
More genreally speaking, my interests include mythology, fairytales and folklore, medieval history and reenactment, historical cooking, costuming, Music history, especially Rock history, Post-Punk/Goth music, corvids, foxes, writing, drawing, Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite art. As far as colors go I love jewel tones and iridescent black.
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: My ears aren't pierced, so no earrings that would require a piercing -- clip-ons or ear-cuffs are totally acceptable, though! Also, No pastel colors please.

Things you Geek About: Fibre arts; reading and writing; planning/bujo; candles. I'm not in any fandoms as such, but I'd be happy with things for: Netflix's Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency; Six of Crows duology (particularly Kanej); Snatch 2017; Rivers of London; Leverage; Diana Wynne Jones's Dark Lord of Derkholm, Power of Three, or Howl's Moving Castle (but for the book, not the Ghibli movie. I don't dislike the Ghibli movie, but it's really not the same canon); fairy tales; I like cool colours and metallics.
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: I have a touch-allergy to lemon grass, so it can't have had any contact with the plant or essential oil otherwise I'll be in A&E shortly afterwards (if you've used it in cooking then thoroughly scrubbing your hands and using a different workspace will be enough). Not keen on bright pinks; I'd prefer not to receive jewellery or edibles.

Leatherwork, I make traveller's notebooks for a living; bookbinding; jewellery (I mostly work with resin, concrete and metal, gemstones, mica, metal stamping, occasionally fimo); I spin* and knit; small decorative/useful items (pen holders and plant pots, things like that, I work with concrete and air-drying clay); foiling; wax melts; paper flowers; book sleeves; artwork. I don't have any pets, so fur/dander won't be an issue, but because I spin there is other animal fibre in the house, and also soy and shellfish (I can easily not include it in the item itself, and scrub/hoover everything down before I start crafting, but if the allergy is severe then it could pose a problem - especially lanolin, since it's so difficult to get off).
Are you willing to pinch hit if necessary? Possibly - if my main match was UK and the pinch hit is also UK then sure, but if my main match was international then it gets a bit too spendy on postage.

Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): I'm not terribly fussed about having a fandom item, although fandom stuff I do particularly collect include moomins, Tolkien, Fallen London. I am really into autumn colours. I like trees, leaves, space, science. Handmade stuff for an unknown-gender baby is currently also extremely welcome!
