We will not start matching participants until January 31st or until we get the max amount of participants for this round (30). First, a little explanation on what we need in the sign ups and why. First and foremost, the sign ups are mostly for us to find the best matches we can with what people want to receive and want to offer. Please be as specific as you can in your request. Gifters, if you need more info, please come to us (homemade2homemademod@gmail.com) and we’ll be your go between.

Name: We don’t need your real name right now. We'll ask for that when we get your address for your crafter.
Email: PLEASE make sure it’s one that you check regularly. There are a few times throughout the fest that we will need to get a hold of you via email.
Things you geek about: We need to know what fandoms, hobbies and interests make you happy. Please be specific as you can, from favorite color, favorite character, favorite song, etc etc...You don’t want a Gryffindor scarf if you’re in Slytherin now do you? Or let's say you put that one of your interests is horses, but you are terrified of unicorns, you wouldn’t want any of those showing up on an embroidered thing, would you? Also, if you don’t want fandom related things, or only want fandom related things, let us know that too. Same goes for interests and hobbies.
Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: Allergies--we need to know all the things you can’t have from food allergies, to scents and fibers. Postal restrictions--are there things your country won’t let be sent through the mail? Sometimes this differs if the packages are sent internationally or within the same country. Simple Do Not Wants--This is the place to put things you just don’t like, crafts you really don’t want to receive. Not into baked goods? Don’t want to receive the same type of craft that you make? This is the place to tell us.
What kind of crafter are you? What are you willing to gift? Are you a potter or a woodworker? A knitter or a candymaker? Do you dabble in a bunch of things? Are the things connected by medium? If so, are there things you DON’T do? Do you not want to do fandom specific things? Only want to do fandom specific things?

If you live outside the USA, and can't ship internationally for whatever reason, we might still be able to match you. There were at least two participants from every country represented last year. Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): I am happy receiving fannish and non-fannish things. For fan things, I love historical romance and historical RPF, Harry Potter, Shakespeare in general, and Diana Wynne Jones's Howl and Chrestomanci series. For non-fannish things, I love baking and cooking, am into science, and generally have a more-is-more approach to fashion, personal adornment and the inside of my house. I love bright, rich colours and black. By the time I receive anything, it will be heading into winter for me, if you want to do something cozy. I love all crafts. All of them.

Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): Craftwise, I've been involved in jewelry crafts since my early teens, so that's about 40 years (yikes!). I'm lucky enough that there's a local bead store near me that actually encourages people to just hang out and make stuff, so I get to geek about beadwork every Saturday. I love creating for friends but I hate actually selling anything, except on commission. Fandomwise, I'm currently enjoying Kingsman (first movie, not second), White Collar (old fandom delight), The Flash (first and second season only). I have a fannish interest in Inspector Morse, Lewis (written just a few stories for Lewis, but have read many) and I have the first season of Endeavor to watch still.

That being said, I don't have any particular interest in receiving a fannish gift, but if my recipient wants something fannish, I'll be happy to try and make it.

Are you willing to ship internationally? The rates for international shipping have skyrocketed, but if the recipient does not want a speedy delivery, I can manage first class mail.

What kind of crafter are you?/What are you willing to gift? I currently do many different kinds of beading – bead weaving, bead embroidery, pearl stringing and knotting, and kumihimo (with and without beads). My preferred materials are glass beads, natural stone, pearls of all shapes and sizes. I work in all colors except black, and generally take a very holistic approach to creation (which means I kind of suck at following patterns and prefer to invent my own designs once I learn a technique). I would be happy to gift a custom-made necklace in a style my recipient would like. I tend to enjoy working on larger, showier pieces, but I can scale back if I have to.

I also like horses and horse racing, travel, and reading (particularly mysteries and historical fiction). Holiday and seasonal themed stuff (Christmas, New Year's, Halloween, spring, summer, etc.) also an option! Favorite colors are seafoam green, aqua and lemon yellow.

I'm so very polyfannish -- if you go through my tag at fan_flashworks, you can get an idea of what all I'm into.

Fandoms I love that may not be well-reflected there: DC Animated Universe (especially Robin, Nightwing, Black Canary, and Zatanna), Impulse (Youtube Red tv show), Steven Universe, The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel, The Good Place.

Favorite colors are ocean blues, chocolate browns, burgundy, black.

Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: My household has lots of food allergies, so food is complicated. I'm allergic to angora fiber, and I can't wear standard pierced earrings. Please no black tea or live plants.

Are you willing to ship internationally? Yes

What kind of crafter are you?/What are you willing to gift? I create fiber batts and rolags for spinners, spin handmade yarn, and knit. I've knit everything from hats and shawls to stuffed animals for gift exchanges before. Socks are a real possibility, as are various hand-felted decorations.

Please note that some quantity of cat hair will likely accompany any gift I send, no matter how hard I try!

What would also help is if you could give a bit more about what you like: what's your favorite colors (both to wear and for home decor type things)? Have any favorite motifs (nature, flowers, birds, geometric shapes, polka dots etc etc)? Just imagine what you'd want to know to create something for someone and give us that. If it's anything like last fest, we get a lot of variety--knitters, wookworks, sewing, jewelry makers and some mish-mosh.

I must say that I am curious about these large, showy, custom-made necklaces, being a person who wears them and just started making them (with a laser cutter, not beading, though). The album isn't necessary for matching, and I am not sure if this is abusing my modly privileges, but I would like to see it!

Interests: Mythology, folklore and fairy tales; Brian Froud. The corvid family, especially crows and ravens. Dinosaurs, hedgehogs, wolves, fossils, Cabinets of Curiosities, old keys, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, skulls and bones, marigolds, poppies, burdocks. Maps and constellations. Libraries, old books, coffee. Travel. Movies. Halloween, vampires, werewolves, horror. My colors: black, red, purple, metallics, dark greens, greys.

Hobbies: writing [fic, fiction and poetry], sculpture [clay, polymer clay, papier mache, mixed media, metal], collages, drawing, photography, jewelry/metalsmithing. Reading. This is the year for counted cross stitch and learning to use a drop spindle. I like to bake and am learning about fermenting and pickling food.

Things you Geek About (interests, hobbies, fandoms): Woo, this will get long! I'm happy for fannish and non-fannish, I just appreciate the time, work and investment put into a handmade article.

My interests: Netflix, film, art, craft, France, medieval history, Byzantine history, costuming, historical re-enacting, writing, reading, rubber stamping, yarn, weaving, gardening, travel, photography, cooking, sleeping, cats, friends, learning, music, politics, social justice, languages.

My hobbies: Sleeping (bc in my life as a full time caregiver, sleep does feel like a hobby), gardening, shopping, making junk journals (primary craft, I love these things), reading, films/tv, photography, weaving, collecting beautiful variegated coloured yarn, collecting gorgeous vintage photos/postcards, making medieval/Byzantine/renaissance clothes, historical re-enacting, thrift/secondhand stores/markets, penpaling.

My fandoms: Lucifer, Diablero, Travelers, Glitch (Aust), Cleverman (Aust), Babylon 5, Twin Peaks, Scandi-noir, Occupied. A lot of things I watch/read are from non-English speaking countries. I'm also always sorted into Slytherin. Which is good, as I like green, black and silver.

I did this as a gift for a relative, and she loves pink, which is why it's so... well, pink. Whoever gets me will get a journal customised to their loves and interests, with journal cards, bookmarks, hidey places to store secret notes and so on, as well as being a unique journal to write in.

I love autumn themes and colours. I love space and the outdoors and trees and leaves. Also love generic "book" themed stuff.

Any allergies/postal restrictions/simple DNWs: I knit and crochet excessively, so would prefer not to receive these crafts. I find bracelets and large pendants too uncomfortable to wear (smaller necklaces are great!).
