Dolphins!

I kept forgetting to post my project, but hey, it's still July (um, if you're in my timezone, that is...) So here's what I made for Fangirlism!

She likes dolphins, and so I found a filet crochet doily pattern that I thought was perfect. And it was, except for one little thing: it was very large, and I have no idea if Fangirlism has room in her house for a doily that's half a yard in diameter. So I made a bag with a dolphin on it as well, because I subscribe to an everybody-can-always-use-more-bags philsophy. :-)

This is the doily! I posted a bunch more about it on my Ravelry project page. It's filet crochet, which is a technique where you work back and forth in rows making lots of little squares; some of the squares are filled in and others are left open to create a picture. I loved this pattern so much, both the making of it and the way it turned out!

And this is the bag! I posted about it on my other Dreamwidth. It's a drawstring bag with flat-felled seams and a boxed bottom.

w0w. That doily is so unbelievably fantastic! I am just in awe of it and you!

That bag is pretty spectacular as well.

Seriously, WELL DONE!

Thank you so much for participating and sharing your immense talent!

Dolphins! And the doily is so delicate - very clever!
